Questi fattori da soli non bastano a contrastare altre cause economiche e demografiche che contribuiscono ad abbassare il livello di salute pubblica, ma suggeriscono che tutti, in particolare i ceti meno abbienti, stanno molto meglio quando abitano in una comunità basata sul trasporto pubblico piuttosto che in una dipendente dall'automobile.
